Information you provide

When you send a project inquiry, SH Consulting receives your name, company, email address, optional phone number, the service or problem type, development stage, desired timing, your description, and the page on this site you came from.

How inquiry information is used

Inquiry information is used to review your request, respond to you, discuss potential engineering services and keep normal business records of that inquiry. It is delivered to SH Consulting by email through a transactional email service (Resend) and is not sold or shared for marketing.

To show which page an inquiry came from, the site remembers the last page you visited before the contact page in your browser’s session storage. It is cleared when you close the browser tab and is not used for tracking.

Where it is kept, and for how long

Inquiries arrive in SH Consulting’s business email inbox and are kept there as normal business correspondence for as long as they are needed. The email delivery service (Resend) keeps a record of each message it delivers for a limited period under its own retention settings. The website host (Vercel) keeps standard technical request logs — such as IP address, browser type and the page requested — for a short period for security and operations.

Spam protection

To keep automated spam out, the inquiry form is checked by Vercel BotID when you send it. The check runs invisibly in your browser — there is no puzzle to solve — and is used only to tell people apart from automated scripts. The form also notes how long it was open before it was sent and includes a hidden field that people never see; both are used only to filter out automated spam and are not kept. Phone and email details on this site are displayed in a way that discourages automated address harvesting.

Do not send confidential technical information through the website

Use the form for initial context only. If your project involves confidential, export-controlled, proprietary or security-sensitive information, a suitable way to exchange it is agreed directly before anything is sent.

Analytics

This site does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies.

Your requests

You can ask what information SH Consulting holds about you from this website, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Use the contact details below; SH Consulting will remove it from the inbox and records it controls.

Children

This website is intended for businesses and engineering professionals. It is not directed to children under 13, and SH Consulting does not knowingly collect their information.
